Singlet Lenses: Designed to meet the demanding requirements of laser electro-optic applications, our singlet lenses are manufactured from either fine annealed optical glass or UV grade fused silica. These lenses are polished to tight tolerances using master test plates to ensure minimum wavefront distortion. Tight surface quality tolerances minimize scatter and unwanted diffraction effects.
Cemented: Achromatic doublet and triplet lenses have significantly better optical performance than singlet lenses in visible imaging and laser beam manipulation applications. Our achromats have precise specifications and tolerances for uncompromising image quality. Computer optimized designs minimize aberrations, yielding smaller focused spot sizes. The majority of our achromatic lenses have diffraction-limited performance at the design wavelength. Shorter focal length achromats approach diffraction-limited performance as their operating f-number increases.
